Koh Tao’s lovely weather is a delightful blend of warm tropical sunshine, refreshing sea breezes, and clear blue skies, creating the perfect paradise for relaxation and exploration.
Koh Tao has a tropical climate with warm and humid weather year-round with average temperatures ranging from 26-32°C with high humidity levels. The island has two seasons, namely dry and the rainy season. With the rainy season generally falling between October to December, it may rain for only an hour or two with intermittent breaks where you can still get out and have fun!
If the weather has you wondering what to pack, in general throughout the year, its best to pack light and keep in mind that most items can easily be purchased on the island. Here are a couple of items you may need for your trip to Koh Tao;
- Beach attire (swim suits, beach towels, hats, sunglasses and sandals).
- Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or above.
- Insect repellant.
- Light clothing for hot and humid weather (shorts, t-shirts, dresses and skirts).
- Comfortable shoes for hiking and walking.
- Light raincoat or waterproof jacket.
- Dry Bag or waterproof bags for phones, cameras etc.
